Mike Pronovost, a business student at Fresno State was at the White House last week with 100 young entrepreneurs. I was a judge at last night’s 59 days of code startup competition here in Fresno. Join nearly 6,000 startup entrepreneurs by subscribing to my RSS feed. Teams had 59 days to create a killer app. One that solves a problem, is marketable, and demos well. Overall it was an impressive showing of local talent. See you in 2011.

Jake Soberal and Irma Olguin started Bitwise in 2013 with the idea that the technology industry could be used to fix a city--in their case, Fresno, CA. Seven years later, they've trained about 5,000 students and created over 1,000 new technology jobs in Fresno. A company headquartered in Fresno, California.
