SXSW is proud to serve as title sponsor of Austin Startup Week 2017. The pairing makes sense because entrepreneurs are such an important asset for Central Texas and they are also such an important part of March Magic, witness the seven-day “Startup & Tech Sectors” track at SXSW 2018.

Some of the more than one hundred Austin Startup Week sessions and activities that I am most excited about include How to Think Like a Startup to Level Up Your Career (October 9), Female Founders Lunch (October 9), The State of Texas Entrepreneurship (October 9), Austin Technology Council Battle of the Tech Bands (October 9), How to Get Your Food Business Funded (October 10), LGBTQ in Tech (October 10), AR: What’s Next After Pokemon Go? (October 11), The Role of Transit in an Autonomous World (October 11), Fireside Chat with Bob Metcalfe (October 11), How to Pitch a VC (October 12), The Pakistan Entrepreneur Scene (October 12), Promoting Austin as Part of a Global Tech Ecosystem (October 12), and the ATX Startup Crawl (October 12).

Also, Chris Valentine and myself will cover SXSW Startup Hacking: 10 Tips for March Magic Success on Wednesday, October 11 at 4:00 pm at Galvanize (119 Nueces St). If your startup is interested in getting involved in the SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event (or if you simply want to understand the best strategies for learning, networking and discovery in March 2018), then this session is for you.

Austin Startup Week is FREE and open to the public, but you must register here to be part of the fun. After completing your free registration, create a profile and start building your schedule. Many of the sessions and activities are expected to sell out, so RSVP now to the things you want to attend.
