Today, it can sign one deal with a cloud service provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) to replace all of the above. After eliminating all of these types of assets, what remains? Intellectual property. Second in importance only to talented people, IP in all its forms is the key asset comprising most of the value of any tech startup.

We consciously didn’t ask potential customers to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). It is web-based, fast and easy and soon to may be available on the iPhone. making use of non disclosure agreement is both expensive and counter productive. (Welcome to the Internet bubble.)

Anytime you decide to bring in someone who does not have a stake in your business idea you should have them sign a binding Non Disclosure Agreement or NDA before you tell them or show them a thing. The document is an agreement between the two of you to keep confident everything about the business.
