Is it pay-to-play? Logging/Auditing - do we need to log certain operations in order to help with customer support or for auditing? If they wanted to fund a company but other investors didn’t then they got involved in protracted negotiations over issues such as “pay-to-play” provisions. VC’s fund their salaries and operations through management fees, which typically equal 2% per year. It is no wonder why they had less time for new deals.

Additionally, I have a lot of conviction that influencer marketing is going to play a huge role for consumer brands, but that it won’t look or feel quite like what you think of when you think of influencer marketing today. Going paperless and fully digital also allows banks to save a lot of money in terms of their operational costs.

With that in mind, it would make sense for nonprofit leaders to accept any donations that help them reach goals and continue to operate. Nonprofits have to make tough decisions regarding demon donors, and they can face public backlash if they partner with the wrong people. Figure out whether donors view you as a vendor or a partner.

They can help you with the strategic component, the plan, the operations of the plan, the analysis of results, and make sure that you remain on track in working towards your big goals.

Spend time with customers and channel partners. Recruiting and retaining top talent are pay-to-play…but you have to go well beyond the standards and basics here. Managing operating losses as your burn/runway proxy when you have huge looming CapEx needs is a problem. Get to know competitors well.
