5 Ways To Getting Better Sleep

No pictures, not much text. Just 55 seconds until you are getting better sleep and ZZZzzzzzzzzz.

1. Turn Off The TV

Better yet, move the TV into another room. It is a proven fact that it is easier to sleep when your brain isn’t stimulated by computers or TV shows.

2. Get In Sleep Mode

If you can’t shut your brain off, try this. Lay down in bed, get comfortable and put some low volume soothing music on. Slow your breath down and relax every muscle one at a time starting with the feet working up to your head.

3. Go Old School

People still swear by counting sheep, who cares what it is…count little Ewoks if you have to just make it soothing. The trick is to not count out loud, but count visually with your eyes closed.

4. Digital Isn’t Better

Switch to an analog alarm clock. The white noise of the ticking may help you fall asleep better and there will be no bright LED light keeping you awake and looking at the clock all hours of the night.

5. No Booze And You Snooze

Yes a few (or many) beers or a couple (or many) glasses of wine will get you falling asleep faster, but the quality of sleep won’t be good and you will wake up tired. No alcohol starting five hours before bed. And, skip the caffeine too.
