Silicon Valley — another American racist/sexist shithole just like the Segregated South When the Internet first came around in the mid-1990s, it was herald as “The Great Equalizer” where anybody with a keyboard can start an e-commerce shop, publish their works and reach the world to millions who are also attached to the Internet.

Slavery was over years ago. Black people ran out of excuses the day after it was abolished. .

The gamble was that we could train Professors doing hard-core science, who had never been near a startup or Silicon Valley, to get out of the building and talk to customers and Pivot as easily as someone at a web startup. we couldn’t keep them in Silicon Valley for all 8 weeks, so we tried an experiment in teaching remotely.
