Catch demonstrations from 11 GigaTECHS App Competition finalists on the evening of Thursday, August 31 at Capital Factory.

Led by Washington D.C-based U.S Ignite, this competition encourages next-generation Gigabit Internet applications that provide transformative public benefit. Finalists will have the opportunity to win $38,000 in prize money to seed and support the development of applications that focus on opportunities in local transportation, education, clean energy, health and safety (TECHs). The prize money is made possible by U.S Ignite and the City of Austin’s Communications and Technology Management Department.

The 11 finalists who will demo their ideas on August 31 include:

  4. Cognitive Roadway Knowbot (Carnak)
  5. Farm to City
  6. JoeVolunteer Keeping Austin Weird and Much Kinder!

  8. Med Reconciliation + Incentives & Blockchain
  9. M.Y. H.O.M.E.
  10. The Path to Python: A Guide for Middle Schoolers
  11. PenPal Schools VR Field Trip to the USA
