I check in to make my world smaller, friendlier, more familiar--so that you'll see where I go and think about joining me, or just say hello.  I tweet so that you won't ask me what I do for a living, but instead ask me about kayaking, steak, or biking--or maybe jump right into the meme of the moment, be it helmets or cloud to cloud backup.  I friend to learn about you--to see where you came from and the friends you left behind that you visit on long weekends.  Your smile hasn't change since the first grade.  What are you reading?  What are you seeing?  Can we buy something together and share a mutually convenient time in our schedule?  Perhaps you'd like to sub in for my softball team?  Yes, I will monetarily support to your effort to help children, hack in groups or make the world a better place--or just make a big robot that runs on corn to #fuckbp.  How much did you say you were willing to spend a month?  Doorman or no?  I may know someone.  I know a lot of people.  Did you see?  Even more people know me.  Not really though--just where I go, what I listen to, what geeky t-shirts I buy and every passing idiotic thought.  Yes, their pies are yummy.   I weighed 183 pounds this morning.  Small world.
