There was a lot of consumer internet activity again…resurgence of things, but it was still mysterious, venture capital was still kind of closed, 1st time entrepreneurs had a lot of questions that were unanswered, and there was still some sort of hand waiving around all the financing stuff and so we took it on….”. Is that when it became big?

I wasn’t able to make it to Boston yesterday for the Angel Boot Camp as I was running around NYC with the CEO of a company I invested in last week introducing him to a bunch of potential customers and partners. It sounds like Angel Boot Camp rocked. I generally made about one investment a month when I was active as an angel.

Infonautics went public in 1996 and Half.com was sold to eBay in 2000. Josh and Howard began co-investing as angels and in 2005 they started a $10 million fund. Howard states the most successful angel investors are the ones who can place many small bets, increasing the possibility of hitting a home run. and Half.com.
