David Meyer founded Adopt-a-Pet.com (formerly 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com) in 2000 as a way of ending pet overpopulation. Today it’s North America's largest non-profit pet adoption website, with millions of visitors to the site each month and partnerships with more than 17,000 animal shelters, pet rescue groups, humane societies and shelters.

Four months ago, T he Lean Startup debuted at #2 on the New York Times bestseller list. Since then, I have been immersed in a non-stop whirlwind book tour of North America, filled with as many events, interviews, and talks as I could physically manage. Beyond just those who will be hearing about the lean startup for the first time, Im expecting to shake a lot of hands and have a lot of interesting side conversations. Even when we started, and some of these statistics have gotten worse, but one in three kids in America are overweight or obese, and a lot of this is because of lack of access to good high quality food and culturally relevant food in the places where these kids spend most of their time.

Do I think we’d be better off with a radical transformation of policing in America?
