Now that I’m back full time in NYC, I decided to run for the Board of NY Tech Meetup, a dynamic community of 20,000 entrepreneurs, investors, developers, designers and people interested in tech. We no longer have to prove that NYC should be a key part of any technology company’s strategy, beyond just a sales office.

I remember writing a blog post in 2008, post-financial crash, on how the recession was going to re-vitalize the city’s tech startup community, which would eventually help diversify the NYC economy. Talent and domain expertise in NYC’s large industries such as financial services and media, would free up.
