My longtime friend Marion Jenkins, CEO of IT consultant QSE Technologies wrote what I think is one of the most eloquent and well thought out rebuttals to the proposed Colorado “Software Tax” (HB 1192). I grew up on a family potato farm in SE Idaho and I have a PhD in Engineering from Stanford (also known as The Farm).

The best composition is probably one engineer whose passion lies in the pixels on the screen and another engineer whose passion is making bits fly really fast through servers. is it really that the only people who can build great startups are engineers? Engineers don’t always have the best business ideas.

I am the VP of Engineering at a cutting-edge startup that sells software built on the.NET platform. It’s also missing the point of engineering anything. How about ABAPer?
