I was at a startup AND I developed an evented I/O server with pluggable protocol handlers AND it was capable of handling the c10k problem AND I did this back in 2006 with C# on.NET 2.0 You’re also living in an anti-Microsoft fantasy land if you think that all things that need to be done can be done with widgets and APIs provided in.Net.
