Next, Douglas Villalobos from Costa Rica pitched GeoInvenio, a mobile application development platform. Douglas has identified about 50 software companies in Costa Rica that may be willing to develop apps on top of the GeoInvenio platform. When I was graduated from university in 1991 it was only the really committed who eschewed the corporate world for creating tech startup businesses. LP contributions to VC firms shrunk from 2000 and by 2005-2008 had stabilized to around $30 billion per year.
