Second, credibility (fund reputation) is a huge confound. Firstly, “fund size” can be misleading as some firms prefer to raise a large aggregate amount split between several concurrent funds. It shows that, generally speaking, larger funds do better, but we can’t define “large” any more than we can formally define “small.”
