Lessons Learned: Validated learning about customers

First of all, it means that most aggregate measures of success, like total revenue, are not very useful. Start using some of those customers as guinea pigs for a self-serve version of the product. (Steve calls this just Customer Validation , but I like to emphasize the learning aspect, so I accept a far more awkward phrase.)
