Do a curl (or your.NET equivalent) on each domain, and see how many are running a Windows server: I think you’ll find the fraction very small. If they use Haml, are they ignorant of HTML? If youre emitting HTML, as 99% of all PHP apps are, its just so damn convenient to throw in PHP tags along with your layout tags, all inline on the page. At IMVU, when wed hire a new engineer, we could get them to ship code to production on their first day, even if they had never programmed in PHP before. I certainly dont.
