During today's roundtable, we opened the session with a discussion of the existential crisis in media and how talented bloggers and journalists are facing a tough time sustaining themselves due to lack of business models. What I like about the dynamics of 1M/1M today is that we're starting to see entrepreneurs make definitive progress.

During today's roundtable, we had four Microsoft BizSpark Startup India Challenge grant finalists present. Freshdesk First, Girish Mathrubootham from Chennai, India, pitched Freshdesk , a SaaS company that provides small and medium businesses with on-demand customer support software that offers multi-channel social support.

A company developing software would have to buy computers and license software from other companies and hire the staff to run and maintain it. Today open source software has slashed the cost of software development from millions of dollars to thousands. or Euro-centric phenomenon.

Continuous innovation requires the imagination and courage to challenge the initial hypotheses of your current business model (channel, cost, customers, products, supply chain, etc.) A company developing software would have to buy computers and license software from other companies and hire the staff to run and maintain it.
