Sean and Shawn from Napster met in an IRC channel. Just make sure to not violate any non-competes, etc, in the process! In my case, I grew up in Connecticut and spent a fair amount of time in New York – all the while trying to start companies, relatively unsuccessfully. Cisco was a husband and wife team.
