Such was my recent meeting with Seth Sternberg, founder & CEO of Meebo. And I’d recommend them to any talented startup founders out there.&#. He grew up in Connecticut attended Yale undergrad and worked for IBM after graduation doing M&A, strategy and venture capital. And there you have it. Not a chance.

It would be ideal if Yale built a similar tool which allowed students to filter for companies with a) quality teams, b) >10 employees, c) backed by a credible VC, and d) (optional) a Yale cofounder. It’s important moving forward that they expand their reach to other regions (particularly Silicon Valley). Founder community.

We discussed the possibility of recruiting a couple of cofounders who can help him build out the core skill-set needed on his team right now. She is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and strategy consultant, she writes the blog Sramana Mitra On Strategy , and is author of the Entrepreneur Journeys book series and Vision India 2020.

One of the things I do as a founder of a later stage startup is to meet with early stage entrepreneurs to help them get their companies going. In later posts I’m going to get into more detail on specific topics like hiring, raising money, what types of ideas have the potential to get big, finding your founders, and the like.
