Specialized alumni tech networks : Accelerate Yale (which had merged into it YaleFintech and Yale Tech), Yale Science & Engineering Association. I also like the work I did (on cS) for a social networking site, where the brand name of the site was a pun on the name of an historical figure. At least it doesn’t cost me money. My other primary pastimes are running, gym workouts, cycling and knitting, the costs of which can add up fast.

In my case, I grew up in Connecticut and spent a fair amount of time in New York – all the while trying to start companies, relatively unsuccessfully. I like the mention of IRC, and would recommend Freenode as the best overall tech-oriented network. The ecosystem is just hard to beat. It sucks balls. link] Becky Great post!
