Also very pleased to meet and do a bit of work with Nathan Schwagler - - who’s doing some amazing things at the University of South Florida in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Florida is a nascent hotbed of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Many entrepreneurs use the phrase “It’s not personal; it’s business” to justify keeping their customers at arm’s length. This made it relatively easy for entrepreneurs to stay aloof. To remain relevant, entrepreneurs must use technology to stay close — but not too close. Risk getting personal.

The problem is many entrepreneurs aren’t willing to take that risk. Entrepreneurs miss out on opportunities because they give up after one ‘no’ when the second or third or sixth request might have yielded a ‘yes.’. Entrepreneurs who struggle with persistently asking for the order often have trouble saying “no” themselves.

The South Florida region is not typically known as a technological center; nonetheless, this is where IBM developed its early PC prototypes. In 2016, Miami posted a startup density of 113 small tech firms per every thousand companies, and the city’s rate of new entrepreneurs is nearly 0.5 percent, higher than San Francisco.

In the last few days of 2020, we took some time to ask a few entrepreneurs and businesses what their biggest business accomplishments were. #1- As a Real Estate Broker, 2020 was a year that saw my regular pool of Relocation clients to the Central Florida area diminish significantly. Many businesses were launched and others were closed.
