With his permission I’m posting it here in its entirety. I urge you to oppose HB 1192, the so-called “Software” Tax.

I’ve talked with a number of software development shops who are eager to get into the business of cofounding companies, i.e., getting product revenue and equity instead of just consulting revenue. Vlad writes: I believe that the cofounding model aligns goals and incentives in a more efficient matter than pure consulting.

I also know someone else who consulted me about his website idea. Well as a programmer of many websites I find that it is easier for my clients to consult my ideas first.
