Everybody was doing marketing blitzes, over-paying to steal the best staff, pimping out urban offices to the nines , and hiring in a frenzy. In other words, in a strong market even turkeys can fly. On July 27th, 2001 Accenture IPO’s and many of the partners grew fabulously wealthy. In a strong wind, even turkeys can fly.

I had them at my partners’ meeting the next Monday. She learns how to ship product, how to deal with merchants, how to hire product managers. Always meeting her product ship dates. She was always able to get into the weeds on product or biz dev discussions. That’s cute. That happens, right?

Every business needs a dream team, but you cant hire for every expertise youll need. Sure, you may need developers and designers, but how about experts on your industry or people with relationships with certain prospects that you cant afford to hire? 0.01% is where it gets interesting, 0.05% is where youre talking turkey.
