I’m a child of the 1970s, who was routinely promised flying cars in the future, and wrote school essays about what life would be like in the year 2000. Two factors: cost and range (and charging infrastructure, to a lesser extent, but that will be remedied when there is more demand). The real barrier to adoption is cost.
