The part that I’d like to zero in on is when you’ve got a high growth company what are some of the best practices out there to distribute equity to the founders, advisors, and employees? I went to the Columbia Engineering Career Fair in October 2009 and left with ~150 resumes. Tiny, contracting market. Vest, young man. Starting a company without vesting your stock is like getting your girlfriend pregnant on the first date. Yammer is an awesome tool for fostering camaraderie on distributed teams.
