I use a more restrictive definition: A growth team is a product tech team that’s focused on acquisition instead of core product features. I’ve found that one engineer isn’t quite enough bandwidth to keep up with a full-time designer and growth manager. But in aggregate, they can make a big difference. Growth teams are expensive.
