Had I known it was going to take the internet by storm I probably would have been a bit more careful with my word choice (especially referring to.NET as a language, doh!). But just to clarify a couple points, 24-hours into the storm: Yes,NET developers are great at what they do. It is clear that good software engineers avoid you.

Nothing essential that I disagree with you in your post, but when read by other people with minimal software engineering experience, they can have too high expectations. Perhaps 15 years ), probably your reader needs further references, and some hands-on experiences to appreciate your post. Either that or theyre really bad.
