You need to be visible in marketing efforts, viral videos, and interactions with key customer segments. Some entrepreneurs I know attempt to retain control, or save money, by eschewing advisors and using stealth mode. Online it may be time to take a formal position via blogs and interviews. Always willing and able to communicate.

Also known as stealth marketing, this clever tactic advertises a product in such a sneaky manner that people aren’t even aware that they’re being subjected to advertising. It would be unfair to skip social media platforms as the most obvious and easily utilized channels for guerrilla marketing tactics. Undercover marketing.

I too would be concerned about false negatives, but perhaps this strategy could be integrated into a broader market research strategy that included user engagement, viral marketing, etc which would all be quantifiable under the Google analytics. A very interesting strategy. Im defiantly going to give it a shot on my next project!
