To interconnect these computers we needed IP-based telecommunications equipment build by the likes of Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks. Web Services, led by Amazon’s AWS, which reduced the costs a further 90%. Open source computing, which reduced costs to start a company by 90%. But what is it we actually DO on the Internet?
