As part of our Lean LaunchPad classes at Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia and for the National Science Foundation, students build a startup in 8 weeks using Business Model Design + Customer Development. One of the problems they run into is building a web site. Use Skype or Google+ Hangouts for team conversations.

Also, for the full time coder, you may violate your employee contract especially in the area of non-competes or just plain piss off your boss when he finds out how much time you have been putting into a side project when deadlines were looming. if you have some thoughts on this you could add to the conversation and provide some advice.

are just emerging for business people (customer development, business model generation,). A startup is a major commitment with many ups and downs, hard decisions to be made and uncomfortable conversations to be had. I don't think it's enough to have a business guy and a coder.
