When we installed a network for a client, we used a company called Allcom (run by two brothers – Jim Galvin and Mike Galvin.) This was before WiFi networks so the cabling jobs, especially in downtown Boston, were never trivial, especially in the older buildings. It started, like many things, completely randomly.
