They founded Onward, a platform that matches displaced workers--usually, hourly workers--to industries that are hiring rapidly right now. Their efforts in this crisis have been admirable, but as Jake and Irma made clear in our conversation, this is not enough, we need a widespread, fully funded WPA scale effort to put Americans back to work.
