These companies would take our computers and put their name on them and resell them to their customers. Business customers were starting to ask for “office automation solutions” – word processing, spreadsheets, graphing software on a desktop. I had just watched a master of the consultative sale. Help them?!!

So what does CTO mean, besides just "technical founder who really cant manage anyone?" So I initially gravitated to the CTO title, and not VP of Engineering. It became harder and harder to separate how the software is built from how the software is structured. I always assumed I wouldnt manage anybody.

Our CTO is the CEO himself, but he lacks the understanding of the new software development processes and the new technologies. Suffice to say, most of the hackers Ive known have been men.
