Great technical teams like Fishreel often want to use the class as a product incubator when we want them to spend an equal amount of time learning about the rest of the Mission Model canvas. This week we had one group of students volunteer to go to Iraq or Afghanistan to see the customer problem first-hand. That’s a win for everyone.

New adversaries like ISIS in Iraq created the need for a new doctrine i.e. the 2006 Counterinsurgency Field Manual 3-24. All the services have incubators, Accelerator’s, and SBIR programs. Operational Concepts are the Minimum Viable Products of the practical application of a doctrine against a specific enemy in a specific environment.)
