Being tenacious without the mental flexibility to pivot based on market feedback is a disaster. If your idea is so amazing that it warrants my hard-earned angel money or the money of my LP investors from our fund then why should I take a risk on you if you won’t take a risk on yourself? Why should I be? Not my problem.

This is going to be BIG.

I know, because those people all used to pitch me as an institutional LP back in the day. The one thing that does effect them all is the cyclicality of funding and exit markets, but if you go back over the last 20 years, there's really only been a very short timeframe where you literally could not get a company funded.
