By 2010-2011 this had shrunk by half again, averaging under $15 billion. By the end of 2011 the Internet population was estimated at 2.3 hours per day on average, and that’s excluding the other 13 hours a day where we have our mobile devices, our connected TVs, our iPads and Kindles and soon our cars connected to the web.

October 28, 2011. One of the themes that we’ve been most interested in at NextView over the last 12+ months has been the impact of consumer web trends on business software. Signout startup- celebs leave voicemails for all fans to get text and dial in and listen to, hard to convert to ticket sales bc most didn’t have credit cards/money to pay even though they call 1-10 times a day. Startup bank.

The “private sale” market phenomenon was started in France by Vente-Privee (literally means “private sale”) and was replicated in Germany by BrandsforFriends. Gilt Group is currently the largest private sale web site in US. CEO hinted to WSJ that it may go public in early 2011. Time will tell. Founded in 2007.

But just to clarify a couple points, 24-hours into the storm: Yes,NET developers are great at what they do. It’s the most modern platform for application development on the planet. Microsoft has always produced the best tools for building internal business applications, and.NET is their masterpiece. Very good post.
