I started my business because I was the victim of a horrible acquisition (can you name a good one?). Each story is different though the reasons may be the same.

What have entrepreneurs been up to since then? These shares propelled him to billionaire status in 2015 when the firm’s market value soared. Sachin Bansal and his business partner, Binny Bansal, launched an e-commerce site in India in 2007. The name of this startup was Flipkart and they started it with $6,500. billion.

The Venture Capital industry as a whole does a terrible job of giving things the right name and so we end up keeping the same name, but changing the meaning out from under it. Fast-forward to June 2015, two years later, and now I feel that the change that I started to notice back in 2013, is here, and it’s here to stay.

Yarina, Co-Founder and CEO of Sisu Global, was recently named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Healthcare, one of many awards the company has received for its work. Prior to Sisu, Yarina founded a medical device non-profit working with rural mobile clinics in India. Little did I realize how apt of a name that would be.
