To do this, I withdrew on several dimensions, especially via social media and online channels, which diminished my experience, but allowed me time and space to think. The broader cultural challenges of 2017 have just piled onto this, so I had to learn a new set of skills around this.

Late in 2016 and early in 2017 I had several nights where I drank alcohol, but I think all but one was a special event. I made some mistakes in terms of thinking about what my 2% was, such as wading into Boulder politics around the November 2017 city council election. I’ve read 72 books so far in 2017 (a goal of 100).

Some concerns in the media include: Legislation. I’m not sure where that rule comes from, but by that measure, we should see the first self driving cars on sale in 2017. Computational processing is likely another large component of the overall price, and it has a long history of exponential cost reduction.
