At the time we were planning a workshop for B2B tech startups from the IMEC accelerator (Ghent, Belgium) and had a chance to interview many of the companies that had signed up. Since COVID started the number of spam emails and LinkedIn messages increased (doubled at least). We start mapping out a simple campaign.

I’ve built my email list through that as well. I’ve got a subscriber base of about 40,000 emails as well, and it’s the centerpoint for everything I’ve done and the exposure I’ve gained. I love chocolate, so a highlight for me was visiting Belgium. They haven’t built an email list. It’s a really big place.
