Freshdesk First, Girish Mathrubootham from Chennai, India, pitched Freshdesk , a SaaS company that provides small and medium businesses with on-demand customer support software that offers multi-channel social support.

At today's roundtable, we had entrepreneurs presenting from Brazil, Israel and India. In fact, I was pleased to even see an entrepreneur from Kolkata, India, the city in which I was born and raised. The business looks extremely promising and with proper execution, can become a sizable enterprise over time. Estate Lister.

Brad has had some success in working with retailers as well, but I advised him to be careful about the cash flow management. Her upcoming campaign of reaching out to 100,000 moms will be one of the first concerted efforts to actually test her business model. I would be curious to see what results as this experiment produces.

It turns out that in my Vision India 2020 book, I have a similar project called FDBI. My personal analysis is that to make a financial institution successful by catering to the said segment will require a tight control of the types of businesses that are financed. Also, the business model for the business is unclear.

It is particularly satisfying for me to work with these entrepreneurs because I have long believed that India needs to diversify out of pure labor arbitrage. Other discussions on India's need for product companies have also been equally controversial. I like this business very much, and believe it can be a large, and important company.

First up today was Yogesh Sharma presenting Rangrut.com , a business that connects employers with learning institutions and on-campus students to fill job openings.
