NYU has adopted the Lean LaunchPad ® class as a standard entrepreneurship course across twelve different schools/colleges within the University. Over 1,000 students a year are learning lean startup concepts. Teams have to get out of the building and talk to 10-15 customers a week.) Spend it Wisely. Spread it Widely.

A Phone Call After I left MIPS Computers I was in New York tagging along with a friend (a computer architect whose products at Apple a decade later would change the shape of personal computing) who was consulting for a voice recognition startup. Sloan Foundation , the Sloan School of Management at MIT , the Sloan program at Stanford , and the Sloan/Kettering Memorial Cancer Center in New York. If you look around the United States it’s hard to avoid Sloan. There’s the Alfred P. Sloan’s book My Years with General Motors written 40 years ago is still a business classic.

Growing up in New York, the library was the only calm and stable place in my life, a refuge from home. We could go off base and do anything a group of 19-year olds wanted to, like skydiving, but that’s another story. Library Hour s I loved libraries since I was a kid. I read my way through our small neighborhood library.
