If you write software to teach Tibetan to Hungarian speakers, youll be able to reach most of the people who want it, but there wont be many of them. If you make software to teach English to Chinese speakers, however, youre in startup territory.

I didn’t use any software and most of the payments I received back then was via check or money order in the mail. I knew how to find contract proofreaders and also had access to an online database of language translators. I maintained the inventory myself from my room, sorting and listing cards online by hand using plain text.
