When I think of brand affinity, I think of brands like Apple, Starbucks, Jordan. I was brainstorming names with my co-founders CTO Jesse Forrest and CMO Matt Reilly. When the connection you have with your customers becomes an emotional connection, it is called brand affinity. That is why the word Affinity was chosen.

It was also right around that time when I started CTO School--a small five session series on how to go from being a developer to a technical leader, which blossomed into a not only a very active meetup , but also gave birth to a great conference series as well.
