This is why companies often get out-competed by former employees (Palm vs Handspring to name just one), even though the upstart lacks all of the familiar resources, tools, processes, and support they used to have. Start using some of those customers as guinea pigs for a self-serve version of the product.

The suburbs offered cheaper rents and increased quality of life for the employees. of endlessly trying different brands of lashes and adhesive (which hurt my business profits) and unfortunately my clients were the Guinea pigs who were getting inconsistent results because of it (which hurt business profits even more!). I was tired.

I thought my employees … I thought nobody trusted me. I wanted to make myself the guinea pig. I didn’t have any employees anymore, like gone. So, all of my energy went into pretending that I was happier than I was. But, the problem was, when you’re in that state it also … a lot of other things happen.
