Renting physical offices is a huge overhead cost, not to mention equipment, internet, electricity, meals, and transportation, it’s no wonder that 82% of businesses that fail do so due to poor cash management. Personally, I prefer to live in Saigon, but Vietnam's talent pool is somewhat limited and still maturing.

Most large Asian cities have reasonable internet connection. Fortunately none of our employees lost their lives and the second office 300 miles away in Manila continued operating as normal. For example, in Thailand you can do a VISA run in one day then return, whereas in Vietnam they are strict with their one month policy.

So I asked our COO, Stuart Lander (a Brit) to set up operations for us. When he had finished the program the US wanted more doctors due to the Vietnam War. While many doctors went to Vietnam my father was a pediatrician and they needed those in the US. We then moved our CFO, David Lapter, to the US. He was fortunate.

I despised every minute of it, which is why I decided to establish an internet business. Instead of watching TV or trolling the internet I thought I'd try my hands at coding. While operating a tutoring business I was able to identify a demand for niche business software. I was so amazed at how the internet works.
