These are often 100% US-based at inception, but in my experience they are more likely to both open an office abroad and to sell abroad than a company without an immigrant founder.

So, the best way of dealing with this issue is to take a long, long vesting period for all major sweat equity founders. No separation between the technology organization and the product organization. Too much money.
