Although we had a busy summer, I was fortunate enough to take a bit of time off as well, and to step back for a moment and reflect on Nextview’s strategy and market position going forward. . The rest have been companies with some early market validation. However, our overall goal is to invest in the full spectrum of seed.

Today’s $24 billion storage market in the US has these same key disadvantages and that was the genesis of Sam Rosen’s initial idea for MakeSpace , which I initially funded 15 months ago. He spent a few months building out the software because just taking stuff from people isn’t that difficult. 10x the experience.

I’ve had to put in many hours to learn my own equipment due to a lack of interest in even training me. The short answer was no and whilst many of the businesses present had a large technology component to their company, with custom developed software etc they could not present themselves as a tech company.

The prospect of collecting self reviews and getting 360 degree feedback and writing a performance review for each of your employee each quarter does not make you want to jump off the building. It is quite likely that you'll sit in the IT (CTO / CIO) function. Motivating them. Solving their personal problems.
