I recently wrote that, when it comes to customer relationships, most businesses should NOT emulate Amazon, since Amazon's margins are so thin. If massively succesful, Isis might disintermediate the companies that manufacturer plastic payment cards and perhaps the companies that make mag stripe hardware (e.g. Like anyone else, they are looking to own the customer data and offer smart loyalty programs. Is that it? Not really. This is the same problem that LevelUp is facing.
