My conclusion: if you’re a software engineer, with good technical background and ability, you can pretty much write your own ticket in Southern California. Or, what do you do if you’re just coming out of school and all you’ve done is Java coursework? Why do I say that? Build an app, get it into the App Store.

But what I think was hard, and it was something he couldnt consider was that it would be harder to find a *maintaining* programmer, and how much it would cost to run the software, because of technical details he didnt understand. Dont go C or Java, python is good for prototyping and easier to learn. This is great info. Very useful.
